Bortuo Chapter 67 Reveal - Even after killing Boruto, Naruto takes side of Kawaki
In Borutos previous chapter kawaki made the hole in Boruto's chest in front of Naruto and Shikamaru which were very much big of a deal and left us with so many questions but thanks to the chapter-67, we got the answer right away.

Shikamaru's thoughts about these things were mixed, he says that even though he was trying to protect Naruto but killing his own comrade is too much, he didn't even hesitate at all. So we must decide what to do with Kawaki in future, answering this question Naruto says "what he did it wasn't His fault alone" Shikamaru says maybe not but this event has made one thing crystal clear that, he will do whatever it takes for the sake of his goals and villages are already having negative thoughts about Kawaki so this could be a problem we cannot solve on our own.
Naruto answers this question by saying Boruto considered Kawaki a brother, so He is practically a part of our family and from this point on whatever he does or whatever anyone says I am going to take his side. Shikamaru says "even though he killed boruto, you didn't feel any different for Kawaki".
Well things are now different after boruto get revived by Momoshiki.
Answer can be different for this situation but shikamaru can't trust on kawaki that had been made clear.
